Silverburn is a £350 million purpose built retail development by Retail Property Holdings Ltd. The construction project also included an upgraded transport interchange, a park and ride facility and links to the community health and leisure village.

The one million sq ft centre is home to almost 100 stores and 14 restaurants.

FES provided the Utilities and Mechanical & Electrical Services for the following: Generators, LV Distribution equipment, small power and lighting, lighting controls, IT infrastructure, heating and cooling, gas, water services, sanitaryware, ventilation / AHU’s, above ground drainage and BMS.

FES had overall responsibility for co-ordinating all Utilities and M&E services, which proved challenging due to the programming and phasing constraints of the construction.

FES in-house Prefabrication Division demonstrated best practice in the delivery of this project, comprising multi-service modules, package plant-rooms,and high voltage sub-stations, all of which are situated on the roof providing an infrastructure to facilitate the services required for this project.
