There are 11 residential plots, each made up of five to seven blocks built around communal squares and courtyards, with water features accentuating the closeness of the River Lea.
FES were also responsible for the design and build of a complete new multi-utility infrastructure. The contract included complete electricity, gas, water and communication infrastructures. The project involved FES Designing a complete multi-utility electricity, gas, water & communication infrastructure including 15mW gas fuelled energy centre to cater for the construction of the Olympic Village. Included within our contract was the installation of a complete electrical HV/LV infrastructure including 8500 meters of 11kV cable, 16000 meters of LV power cabling and 22 individual packaged sub-stations not to mention all the civil and builder’s works.
The project was completed on time with quality workmanship and minimum disruption to construction management operations, all whilst maintaining a safe working environment for all concerned.
The village has now been transformed into new homes and a new residential quarter known as East Village.
