FES Group Win "Employer of the Year" Award at the Scottish Business Awards 2015


The FES Group are proud to have been selected as the winner for the Scottish Business Awards “Employer of the Year” Category at a Ceremony held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) on Thursday 12th November 2015. This Award recognises Scotland’s outstanding employer who have created jobs and working environments in which employees can thrive and achieve excellence. The FES Group were selected from a strong list of leading Scottish companies by a judging panel chaired by Sir Tom Hunter.

The Scottish Business Awards 2015 was the biggest dinner gathering in the UK, and one of the biggest formal dinner gatherings in Scottish history. The event was attended by Oscar-winning actor, director and humanitarian George Clooney and hosted by award-winning comedian and TV talk-show host Rob Brydon. The event also featured a special appearance by Britain’s greatest ever Olympian, Sir Chris Hoy.

FES Group Managing Director Duncan Fletcher was presented the “Employer of the Year” award by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

Through our employment and skills training, our family orientated culture and our investment in local community initiatives, the FES Group are delivering positive social and economic impacts throughout the UK.”

In winning the award, the FES Group demonstrated to the Scottish Business Award judges a long-term, strategic commitment to:

  • Meaningful, paid youth employment initiatives for unemployed and underemployed school, college and university leavers
  • Our human resources innovation providing bespoke in-house apprentice training through our partnership with Forth Valley College
