The Glasgow Learning Quarter (GLQ) consortium, led by Sir Robert McAlpine, has been awarded the contract to design, build, finance and maintain two new city centre campuses for the City of Glasgow College.


The GLQ consortium, which includes Sir Robert McAlpine’s Capital Ventures and FES Limited together with FES FM Limited, have secured the 25-year concession.

The construction contract for the new campuses, located at high profile locations in the centre of Glasgow, will cater for 40,000 students and 1,200 staff. The City of Glasgow College contract represents the single largest estates development in the college sector in Scotland. FES Limited will provide the Mechanical, Electrical and ICT design and installation, with FES FM Limited providing Hard FM and Lifecycle Services over the 25 year contract.
