We are delighted to announce the arrival of this year’s apprentices with the appointment of 54 new trainees throughout the FES Group of companies. Apprenticeships have been created across a range of building services trades including:
- Electricians
- Heating Engineer
- Data and Communications Engineers
- Fire and Security Engineers
- Prefabrication Engineering
- Plumbers
- Facilities Management
Apprentices are our future, so we invest heavily in them. Since 1963 we have trained over 1,600 apprentices in a range of trades. In addition to their college placement, our apprentices gain on-site skills and work experience on a variety of projects throughout Scotland. Our purpose built Training Academy provides additional learning opportunities and support from our in house Training Manager.
FES offers a range of potential career routes for our apprentices, including roles within our engineering, mechanical, electrical, facilities management, data, and communication divisions. Apprentices that wish to progress onto leadership roles and have demonstrated competency in their discipline are invited to lower managerial roles within the company through our ongoing CPD scheme. Several members of top level management started their careers with FES as apprentices.
We wish all our apprentices well as they embark on a rewarding career in construction.
