Barclays Northern European Bank
Barclays Northern European Bank
FES delivered MEP services for Barclays’ landmark financial campus. Part of a wider regeneration initiative, the project brings 500,000 sq ft of Grade A office space to the south side of the River Clyde, supporting 5,000 employees and combining modern workspaces with heritage restoration.
The campus blends new-build architecture with the careful restoration of Clyde Place House and the BECO building. Three main buildings include offices, retail, gyms, restaurants, and assembly spaces, while the heritage structures provide flexible multi-use areas. Additional facilities such as wellbeing spaces, exhibition areas, and a street food market enhance both employee experience and community engagement.
Strategically located opposite Glasgow’s International Financial Services District, the campus offers excellent transport links, including bus, rail, cycling networks, and nearby motorway access. Sustainable features include EV charging, active travel options, and high-efficiency building systems, underlining the project’s low-carbon design and contribution to local regeneration.
We delivered all MEP systems across the campus, from design and coordination to full installation. Our team integrated modern services with heritage structures, supporting early Cat B fit-outs and ensuring long-term performance, safety, and efficiency.
