FES was appointed by Robertson Construction as the MEP delivery partner on Moda’s “The McEwan” project, a landmark build-to-rent (BTR) residential development in Edinburgh’s Fountainbridge area. The project comprises 476 high-quality homes alongside a range of premium amenities, including resident lounges, a private dining room, coworking spaces, and a 24/7 gym. The final phase of the development added a further 139 rental apartments, featuring a mix of studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes designed for modern city living.

FES delivered a comprehensive suite of mechanical and electrical systems that underpin the development’s wellbeing and sustainability ambitions, including efficient heating, cooling, and ventilation solutions to renewable energy integration, lighting, security, and life-safety systems. Our team’s coordinated approach ensured seamless integration across all services, supporting both comfort and performance throughout the building.

Our contribution extended beyond technical delivery, ensuring precision, reliability, and user comfort across every aspect of the MEP installation. Through rigorous testing, commissioning, and quality assurance, we helped create a high-performing, energy-efficient residential environment that enhances resident experience while minimising environmental impact.
